This past spring I tried without success to get Joel to wear a jacket on the cooler days. Through Freecycle I'd gotten a Sponge Bob Square Pants windbreaker and I thought he would LOVE it.
ME: Joel, don't you want to wear your jacket? It's so cool, it's got Sponge Bob on it.
JOEL: No Mom! I like to watch Sponge Bob not wear Sponge Bob!
